Core Convictions
-
1
Meaningful Membership
We join ourselves together to submit our Christian discipleship to the shepherding, fellowship, and ministry of this local church.
-
2
Gathering Together
We faithfully gather together each week for corporate worship, Bible teaching, and Christian fellowship.
-
3
Expository Preaching
We preach the Bible book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse as a vision to make the word of God fully known and the people of God fully mature.
-
4
Disciple Making
We declare that the gospel should be preached in all the world to every creature, baptizing those who follow Jesus as Lord and Savior, teaching them to grow in the full counsel of God.
-
5
Gospel-Centrality
We acknowledge that the whole Bible is about Jesus, that people are transformed by grace not law, that our ultimate validation is found in the gospel not works, and that our unity is driven by the gospel not politics, traditions, or preferences.
-
6
Congregational Singing
We raise our voices together in song with music that is singable, words that are theologically rich, and with responsive hearts to the glory and grace of God.
-
7
Generous Giving
We support the work of the gospel through Christ's local church by obedient giving and sacrificial generosity, believing that our true treasures are laid up in heaven not on earth.
-
8
Remembering Jesus
We celebrate our fellowship in the gospel by remembering Christ's sacrifice through regular and worshipful communion in the Lord's Supper.
-
9
Global Missions
We send and support missionaries across the region and around the world in order to take the gospel to those who have never heard, and to plant more churches for the glory of God.
-
10
Healthy Leadership
We recognize that God has given to the church pastors who, by their character, devotion, and humility, oversee and shepherd the church, and that God has given to the church deacons who assist the pastors in ministry service.
