What are Discipleship groups?

Discipleship Groups are small groups within our Laurel Church family, consisting of 4 to 8 people, who encourage one another to spiritual growth in our discipleship journey. These groups meet weekly for 12 weeks at a time in a 2 semester structure during the calendar year. Discipleship Groups study a book of the Bible together using a Bible study guide that includes reflection and discussion questions, gospel glimpses, whole-Bible connections, and theological themes. While other fellowships in our church ministry are open to anyone, discipleship groups are for members of Laurel Baptist Church only.

Fall Groups: August 6 - October 28, 2023

What's involved in a discipleship group meeting?

Four things happen during a discipleship group meeting:

1. Bible Study - we read and study the lesson during the week and discuss the questions at our meeting.

2. Prayer - we share our burdens with one another and then pray for one another.

3. Accountability - we work hard to stir one another up to love and good works.

4. Fellowship - we enjoy Christian community together.
